Antique Chicken Brooder or Egg Candler with Miller Burner Lantern

This is an antique chicken brooder or egg candler with a brass Miller burner (see picture). This lantern is made of galvanized metal with the chimney containing a mica window which was used to inspect the egg for fertility. In addition, the fuel cap which is also brass removes easily and displays an artistic design. The base is approximately 10" in diameter and contains a finger loop. The knob displays "THE MILLER CO. MADE IN USA" logo.
