Antique Armspear Manufacturing Co. Railroad Lantern
This is a rare and
complete Armspear Railroad Lantern manufactured in New York, USA.
Embossed in the clear glass globe are the letters, "L.V.R.R." which to
the best of my understanding represents Lehigh Valley Railroad. It is
very hard to read the raised lettering on the dome, but I was able to
make out "ARMSPEAR MANFG CO." and "NEW YORK". Fastened to the side of
tank is a brass plate reading; PAT'D MAY 31, 1913 and AUG. 19, 1913.
This lantern is in very good condition considering its age. It does have
some rust, worn paint and some dings on the smoke dome...however, it is
complete with burner and all movable parts move freely and are
functional. Please refer to pictures. This is a nice old railroad
lantern to add to any collection.
